Document parsing for accounting and bookkeeping
Most of the hours in a bookkeeping practice go into typing other people’s paperwork into a spreadsheet. ParseForMe reads the statements, invoices and receipts your clients send — PDF, scan or photo — and gives them back as rows you can reconcile, with every value scored so you check the handful that are uncertain instead of proofreading all of them.
Covers the 3 document types this trade actually runs on.
Where the time goes
Where the hours go in Accounting & bookkeeping
The statements arrive as PDFs and someone types them into the working paper line by line. ParseForMe reads each one — including the months a feed never covered — and returns every transaction as a row with its date, description, amount, direction and running balance, ready to reconcile.
How bank statement parsing worksCoding a purchase ledger means reading every invoice to find the same six numbers somewhere different each time. ParseForMe returns supplier, invoice and due dates, tax and totals with the line items in their own columns — so coding becomes a filter rather than a read-through.

Document data extraction for the paperwork this trade runs on
Each type has a purpose-built extraction schema. Follow a link to see exactly which fields come back and how they export.
How it works
What the work looks like once it is automated
Drop the client’s whole folder
Statements, invoices and receipts together in one batch — types are detected per document, so nothing needs sorting first.
Check only what is flagged
Every field carries a confidence score. Low-confidence values are surfaced for review beside the page they came from; the rest you leave alone.
Export into your working paper
Map your columns once and every future client file lands in that exact layout — so it drops into the workflow you already run.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can it handle a statement that runs over many pages?
Yes. The whole document is read as one continuous transaction list in date order, with the running balance preserved line by line, rather than restarting at each page break.
Is client data kept separate?
Each workspace is isolated at the database level, and the original upload is deleted seconds after ingest — only the regenerated artefact is stored. You can also set how long parsed documents are kept before they purge themselves.
What does a client file cost to process?
One token per parsed page, so a long statement is priced by its real length rather than a flat per-document fee. You start with 30 free tokens.
