About this template
  1. It goes in the band above your sheet, and on the file’s properties.

  2. Upload your logo

SVG, PNG or JPEG — a vector is ideal and we’ll render it for the spreadsheet. Use a version with no background so it sits cleanly on the band. It sits in the band above your sheet, with the column headers below it.

  3. Check your brand color

Taken from your logo where we can. The header, the stripe, the band and the text all follow this one color.

  4. Fine-tune optional
    Set each element yourself
  5. Preview and download

This is the file, not a picture of one — it is drawn from the same model the workbook is painted from.

What kinds of Excel templates can I build?

Seven categories, 25 free layouts. Every one is brandable in the builder above.

Why this builder

Why build one here instead of downloading one?

A template found online breaks the moment a tool tries to read it. These do not.

Structured from real documents

Every column comes off an actual invoice, bank statement, receipt or payslip — in the order you fill it in, not the order it was thought of.

Branded, not decorated

One brand color drives the header, the row stripe and the band together, and the ink flips to stay readable on it.

Real Excel behavior

Frozen headers, number and date formats, dropdown validation, sized columns. A working sheet, not a picture of one.

Your logo never leaves your browser

The image is read and the workbook painted inside this page. No upload, no account, and no copy of your brand assets on our disk.

Free, with no catch to find later

No signup wall, no card, no download cap, and no watermark over your branding.

Have the template. Need the data?

A blank spreadsheet is the easy half. ParseForMe reads your invoices, bank statements, receipts, purchase orders, delivery notes, payslips, scans and PDFs, and writes the rows straight into columns like these — the layout you just branded, filled in.

FAQ

Free Excel template builder questions

Is the Excel template builder really free?

Yes. There is no account, no email capture, no card and no download limit. The workbook is built in your own browser and saved straight to your device, so there is nothing for us to meter.

Does my logo get uploaded to ParseForMe?

No. Your logo is read, rendered and placed into the spreadsheet entirely inside this page — the file never reaches a server. That is also why the builder keeps working whether or not you are signed in.

What file do I get?

A real .xlsx workbook: frozen header row, correct number and date formats, dropdown validation on the columns that have fixed values, sized columns, and one greyed example row you delete before you start. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice.

Can I change the column headers?

Not in this free builder, deliberately: these layouts are shaped so tools further down the line can read them, and renaming a header is the fastest way to break that. Branding changes how the sheet looks and never what it contains — and you can of course edit the file once it is on your machine. If you want columns of your own from the start, that lives in ParseForMe itself: upload the spreadsheet you already fill in, or write your columns out and build the layout from scratch. Signing up is free and comes with 30 tokens.

Can I build a template from scratch?

Yes, inside ParseForMe rather than on this page. Create an account (free, 30 tokens included) and you can either upload the spreadsheet you already use or type your columns out to design a new layout, then have your documents read straight into it. This page is the no-account half: our structure, your branding.

Which fonts can I use?

The ones Excel ships with, so the file looks the same on the machine you send it to. A font we cannot guarantee would be silently substituted when the workbook is opened elsewhere, with no warning anywhere.

What is the “by ParseForMe” line in the file?

A small credit at the end of the branded band above the sheet, linked back to this builder. It sits outside the data entirely — it adds no column, moves no header and changes nothing an importer reads — and it is how somebody who receives your spreadsheet can find the tool that made it.
