Phone photos are the normal case for receipts, and they are a first-class input — crumpled thermal paper, angled shots and all, alongside PDFs and scans.
Merchant, date, tax, total
Each receipt returns the merchant, date, currency, payment method, tax and total, with individual purchased items as rows where the receipt itemises them.
Out as an expense log

Can ParseForMe read a faded or crumpled receipt photo?
It reads photos and scans (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WebP) as well as PDFs, and confidence scores flag any value it is unsure about so you can correct faint text before exporting.
Does it capture tax and tip separately?
Yes — subtotal, tax, tip and total are separate fields, so reclaimable tax and gratuity never get lost inside one number.
Can I categorise receipts for expenses?
